The Early Years at Stamford Hill caters for children from 2 – 5 years old and is a special place full of learning, laughter and friendship and where all children are happy, feel safe and are valued.
Learning

Learning

The key features of our approach to learning are:
SEN

SEN

We encourage all our pupils to aim high and achieve to the best of their ability. We are an inclusive school and as teachers, we work hard to ensure that all the children in our school aspire to be the best that they can be, regardless of their abilities or needs. We want to provide the best possible outcomes for all our children and prepare them for the transition to adulthood.
Assessment

Assessment

At Stamford Hill the teachers are continuously assessing the children. Effective assessment influences the motivation and self esteem of pupils, both of which have a big impact on learning. Assessment at Stamford Hill is not just about marking books, there is a lot of dialogue and oral feedback too. Children are encouraged to reflect and evaluate their own learning and also to support and evaluate each other’s learning. The need for pupils to be able to assess themselves and understand how to improve is crucial to them becoming independent learners.
Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

Stamford Hill Primary is a small, one form entry school which prides itself on its friendly, caring ethos. We believe that an effective school is one that builds good partnerships between home and school. We believe that the well- being of the child is as important as their academic learning.
